On a bright and sunny afternoon at the Tata Sports ground, the Saints welcomed Glynneath for a National Championship fixture. A large crowd were treated to a blistering start from the Tata team. They started at a breakneck pace and stand in fullback Jakob Williams was soon put away for the games first try. Next to cross the whitewash was outside centre Richard Carter, quickly followed by a second for Jakob Williams , playing at fullback today after a back line reshuffle due to an injury to strong running centre Bleddyn Davies in the pregame warmup. Tata were now starting to hit their stride, with backs and forwards linking superbly and livewire flanker Jacob Lewis showed everyone a clean pair of heels to run in forty metre score to secure the bonus point. A fifth Tata try was scored on the stroke of halftime by Richard Carter. After the break , the game started to lose some shape, with both benches now being emptied, and the Glynneath forwards led by lively flanker James Parry began to make some headway. Several sharp breaks by young centre Jed O’Reilly almost led to scores, until winger Harri Morgan was finally put over in the corner. The final try was scored for Tata by replacement Callum Bricknell, and converted by outside half Lloyd Bradley who completed a 100% success rate from the kicking tee. FINAL SCORE - TATA STEEL 42 GLYNNEATH 5
