Glynneath

GLYNNEATH v TATA STEEL

Glynneath started at a frantic pace and soon had Tata retreating from their early attacks, but they were unable to break the resolute Steel defence and had to settle for a penalty. After settling down, Tata started to string the phases together, and after some superb handling skills, winger Andrew Rees-Spowart crossed in the corner, converted by ex Glynneath favourite Jack O'Reilly. After a further Glynneath penalty, Tata were able to mount a sustained assault on the Glynneath tryline, and deep into injury time No8 Ryan Hall crashed over.

Tata centre Andrew Jenkins was then shown a yellow card for offside, and Glynneath took advantage of their numerical superiority with a try by No8 Leach, converted by Cory Jenkins. Then, just as the Tata supporters were starting to become anxious as time was slipping away, right wing Lewis Evans bravely crashed over , in the corner, securing the all important bonus point.
